The monthly routine
Supply the agreed receipts and invoices; routine transactions are processed and matched; agreed bank and card accounts are reconciled; unresolved items are collected into a clear handover. Your quote confirms which of these tasks are included.
The price you agree
Monthly bookkeeping typically costs £195–£295. Your fixed quote states the transaction allowance, number of accounts, frequency and work included. BIE Ltd is not VAT registered, so VAT is not currently added. A catch-up backlog is quoted separately.
The information we need
Tell us your approximate monthly transactions, bank and card accounts, how you raise invoices and whether VAT, payroll, multiple currencies or overseas transactions are involved. If you do not know the starting point, ask for a Xero health check.
Your handover and deadlines
Agree a date for supplying records, a target completion date, how queries are answered and who reviews the handover. The handover names completed periods, missing evidence and the next owner for each unresolved question.
If your activity changes
We discuss a change in volume, accounts or complexity before agreeing additional work. The written quote explains the review and cancellation arrangements; ask for clarification before starting.
Work to agree separately
Historical clean-up, accounts and tax returns, payroll, CIS, payment approval, debt collection and specialist VAT or accounting decisions are not automatically included in the monthly routine.
What the monthly handover looks like
A useful handover answers four questions: which period is complete, which accounts are reconciled, what evidence is missing, and who needs to act next. Agree those outputs and the handover date in your quote. This is routine bookkeeping; separately commissioned management accounts and forecasts are different services.
Illustrative monthly query list
Example only, using fictional items: 1. Supplier receipt missing: owner to supply. 2. Customer payment reference unclear: owner to identify the invoice. 3. Transfer between company accounts: supporting statements to confirm. Each query should show the period, evidence needed and responsible person. No client figures or records are shown in this example.
How remote bookkeeping works
We support businesses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Gloucestershire entirely remotely. Agree the scope with Antony by phone or email, provide records through the agreed online handover and grant named Xero access. Questions and handovers are handled remotely; no office visit or on-site appointment is needed or offered.
